Trim Trunk of Christmas tree
After Christmas gets over you need to start preparing for the preservation work. The best way to take care of your Christmas tree is to cut down the trunk from the end point of the tree.
You should store the trunk in a garage or a store room where heat is not generated. Next, put water in a container and dip the trunk in it.

Water Levels to Be Maintained
Most of the people think that dipping the tree in water will help it from drying out. Well, it is a wrong concept. The end parts of the trunk need to be placed in the water.
In order to protect the tree against outside heat or harsh weather condition then water alone will not do. Instead you have to add sugar, bleach and aspirin in water.

Keep Christmas tree Away From Heat
Heat creates damaging affect on the tree and so it is better to keep your beautiful Christmas tree from the places where sunlight is more active. The process of drying is much faster if you place the tree nearer to heat source.
